“I like the Boys & Girls Club because it is a place to come and know it is safe and get my homework done.  Also, I like to hang out.  If I have nothing to do after school I can come and do my homework.  Because I’m coming here I’m getting good grades compared to when I didn’t come as much.”

- Club Member and 9th Grade Student at Burlington High School

Athletics & Health Programs

Every day throughout the year, our Athletic Director and Program Staff work with club members to promote good health and fitness through a variety of sports, games, nutritional programs and cooking classes.

Team Games

Members engage in a variety of team sports such as flag football, volleyball, basketball, kickball, baseball, capture the flag, and more.

Various Club sports groups gear up to meet with teams from other local organizations for fun, energizing tournament action.

Outdoor Recreation

During our summer camp programming, members are formed into small groups to experience the fun of the great outdoors. Off-site excursions provide the opportunity to learn kayaking, sailing, climbing and more.

All members receive swimming lessons and water safety instruction as well as free swim time through our summer camp program.

Daily Challenges

Daily challenges focus on team-building, interactivity and non-competitive games. These fun activities challenge members to think and play without the pressure of competition.

Girls on the Run

This small group activity is designed for young girls, regardless of experience, to take part in track and running activities. Other opportunities include Girls on Track and Junior Marathon Relay.

Healthy Habits

Our Healthy Habits curriculum is a series of small group classes that focus on planning healthy meals, shopping for good food, and food preparation.

Kid’s Café

Hot, nutritious meals are served five evenings each week during the school year through our popular Kid’s Café program.
