Digital Connectors
Digital Connectors is an exciting new program offered to the teens at the Boys and Girls Club of Burlington. By integrating leadership skills, digital education, and community service, 15 teens are increasing their knowledge of technology and then taking their skills out into the community. Funded by Comcast, Digital Connectors aims to bring digital access and education to underserved communities and prepares students for future employment and educational opportunities. Members gain hands-on experience in our brand new computer lab as well as out in the community. Youth learn how to blog, create films, design websites, build and troubleshoot computer hardware, safely use social networking sites, and most importantly how to teach these skills to others. Upon graduation from the 9 month program, members of Digital Connectors receive their own Flip Video Cameras and netbooks!
